Tight inventory, combined with pent-up demand, kept prices in an uptrend last year despite 23-year-high mortgage rates, according to Selma Hepp, CoreLogic's chief economist. AdvertisementCooling mortgage rates and newly built homes will help bring more houses on the market but won't create enough inventory to outpace demand, wrote Hepp. She isn't expecting much change to mortgage rates but said that they will likely be slightly higher from January to February, in line with historical trends that precede the busy spring sales season. If inflation remains tamed and trending downward, and the Federal Reserve begins cutting rates as a response, declining mortgage rates would follow, she added in an email to Business Insider. My husband and I rented bikes when we explored the areas surrounding Venice. So, my husband and I boarded a ferry to Lido, the barrier island separating Venice from the open sea. Here, we rented bikes, rode along the beach for some stunning views of the Adriatic Sea, and boarded another ferry to Santa Maria del Mare. Once we arrived, we biked to the fishing village of Pellestrina and sampled the freshest-tasting seafood I've ever eaten. I highly recommend visiting the surrounding islands if you have the time to leave Venice's city center and want an authentic, less-touristy experience.

Reinhard and Zarate spotted a bundle of cloth, and lifting it, they found themselves looking into the Ice Maiden’s face. Studies have revealed that Juanita was a healthy girl between 13 and 15 when she died from a blow to the head. Nilsson used tissue depth markers based on the measurements of her skull to envision the proportions of her face, which included high cheekbones. Tissue depth markers and CT scans helped Oscar Nilsson reconstruct the Ice Maiden's face. For the researchers who have spent years studying Juanita, the arduous process to bring her back to life was worth it.

Exercise or medication: Which is best for depression?

What the research showsWhich treatment option works best partly depends on personal perceptions or preferences, including a person’s motivation to exercise or concern about potential side effects of a medication, experts said. For people with severe depression, exercise alone typically isn’t enough. Some experts also wonder which exercise is best for patients who benefit most from such physical activity, Schuch said. While exercise and medication are both viable options, it’s important to note that “none will work for all patients,” Schuch said. If you’re thinking of trying to alleviate depression with fitness, know “the time it takes for someone to experience relief from depression through exercise can vary widely,” Choi said.
